Tour Itinerary
Bangalore - Lepakshi - Mantralaya
Departure from our Bangalore office premises at 6:00 AM. En-route, enjoy a delicious breakfast before visiting the historic Veerabhadra Temple at Lepakshi, renowned for its exquisite architecture and Nandi paintings. Continue your journey to Mantralaya, arriving by evening. Check into a hotel in Raichur for a comfortable overnight stay.
Mantralaya - Srisailam
After breakfast, visit the revered Raghavendra Swamy Mutt in Mantralaya and seek blessings. Proceed to Srisailam, a sacred Jyotirlinga site, and arrive by evening. Check into the hotel for an overnight stay.
Note: Please adhere to the prescribed dress code for temple visits at Mantralayam and Srisailam.
Srisailam – Mahanandi
Start early in the morning and head to Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple in Srisailam, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. After the darshan, visit Pathala Ganga by ropeway and enjoy stunning panoramic views of the Srisailam Dam and the surrounding hills. Return to the hotel for lunch, then proceed to Mahanandi. Visit the Nandishwara Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, known for its peaceful atmosphere and holy waters. In the evening, check into your hotel in Nandyala for an overnight stay.
Mahanandi – Ahobilam
After breakfast, visit the serene Mahanandi Temple, known for its sacred pools and divine ambiance. Proceed to Ahobilam, a revered site divided into three sections, each offering unique temples dedicated to Lord Narasimha Swamy:
- Lower Ahobilam: Visit easily accessible temples such as Chatravata Narasimha and Yogananda Narasimha. Nearby, the Prahlada Varadar temple can also be visited without climbing steps.
- Middle Ahobilam: Explore temples like Pavana Narasimha and Bharghava Narasimha. This involves a 1.5-hour jeep ride, a 250-meter walk, and climbing over 100 steps. Access is time-regulated based on forest authorities' discretion.
- Upper Ahobilam: Trek approximately 6 km to visit temples like Ahobila (Urga) Narasimha, Varaha Narasimha, Malola Narasimha, and Jwala Narasimha. The journey includes challenging steps, rocky paths, and water crossings.
End the day with an overnight stay at Ahobilam.
Ahobilam – Yaganti – Bangalore
After an early breakfast, head towards Bangalore. En-route, visit the iconic Uma Maheshwara Temple at Yaganti, known for its growing Nandi idol and ancient caves. Continue your journey and arrive in Bangalore by the end of the day, concluding the tour.
Things to Carry
1. Travel Essentials:
- ID proof for hotel check-ins.
- Water bottle, energy bars, and snacks for the journey.
- Torch or flashlight for early morning or late evening walks.
- A small backpack for daily excursions.
2. Dress Code:
- For Mantralayam and Srisailam Temples: Wear traditional attire. Men should wear dhoti and women should wear saree or salwar kameez.
- For other temples: Modest clothing is recommended. Avoid shorts, sleeveless tops, and short skirts.
3. Footwear:
- Wear comfortable walking shoes for trekking and temple visits
- Ensure your footwear is easy to remove for temple entry.
4. Medical Needs:
- Carry any personal medication.
- A basic first aid kit for minor injuries or ailments.
5. Cash:
- ATMs may be limited in some areas, so carry sufficient cash for expenses.
6. Weather-appropriate Clothing:
- Light cotton clothes for summer.
- Warm clothes for evenings and early mornings in cooler months.
7. Photography:
- Follow temple rules regarding photography. In many temples, photography is prohibited inside the sanctum.

Important Note:
To operate this tour with South Indian chefs and a tour manager, we require a minimum of 20 passengers traveling on the specified date. If the number of passengers is less:
· You can choose to move to the next available tour date.
· You may switch to another tour of your choice on a same date / different date.
· You can opt for a full refund of the amount paid for this booking. Note that we are not liable for any flight or train cancellation charges applicable to you in such scenarios.
Documents Required for Travel:
ID proof is mandatory at the time of booking and must be carried during the tour.
- For adults: Voter's ID, Passport, Aadhar Card, or Driving License.
- For children: Passport, Aadhar Card, or School ID.
- For infants: Aadhar Card or Birth Certificate.
Booking Process & Information:
- Tour advance booking starts 180 days prior to departure. Early booking is recommended to avoid lastminute compromises.
- Tour booking closes 30 days before the scheduled departure date.

Accommodation: In the tour to Mantralayam, Srisailam, Ahobilam, and Nandyal, there are limited hotel options available, and there are no luxury hotels in these locations. Our aim is to ensure you have a comfortable and decent stay despite this limitation.
Note: For Middle and Upper Ahobilam, a jeep service is available for the initial part of the journey. After the jeep ride, you will need to walk and climb to reach the temples. The jeeps Entry is allowed only until 12 noon on weekdays and until 3 pm on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, subject to forest officials' discretion. Jeep cost approx 500/-INR. If you need assistance in Upper Ahobilam, a Doli service is available, costing approximately INR 4000-5000 per person.
